De mayor quisiera ser como John Cale.Más allá de todo lo que ha significado en el pasado (que es mucho) y después de habernos regalado un disco como “Black Acetate” hace siete años, el genial músico se reinventa con este nuevo trabajo en el que, acompañado siempre por su inconfundible voz, se sumerge más de lleno en los sonidos electrónicos desde una perspectiva inconfundiblemente “humana” y con un absoluto y rotundo éxito. Sin olvidar en ningún momento el rock ni los sonidos desarrollados en etapas anteriores, “Shifty Adventures..” es una nueva y exitosa vuelta de tuerca de alguien a quien, por otra parte, se nota muy acostumbrado a este tipo de giros. Que nos siga deleitando así por mucho tiempo.
I would like to be like John Cale when i grow old.Far from what his work has meant in the past (which is a lot) and after releasing “Black Acetate” seven years ago, the genius musician reinvents himself with this new album where -always accompanied by his trademarked voice- he dives into electronic sounds from a clearly “human” perspective, with an absolute and outright success. Without forgetting rock and the music developed in past releases, “Shifty Adventures...” is a new and successful turn from somebody who, on the other hand, is used to this kind of twirls. Hold on for a long time, mate!
