Está claro que el sr.Edwards y sus chicos han evolucionado desde los tiempos de “Consider the birds”: los tempos son ahora, por lo general, más elevados y la música más energética, pero el sonido de Wovenhand mantiene intacta el alma (y nunca mejor dicho) que lo ha caracterizado durante años, y eso los convierte en unos artistas inconfundibles.“The laughing stalk” es ahora más rock que folk, y posiblemente los temas sean también más directos que en épocas anteriores, pero los de Denver no han perdido ni ún ápice de su mística sonora ni de sus “particularísimas particularidades”, y eso les permite volver a entregar un disco estupendo que, sin ser igual a los anteriores, sigue siendo inevitablemente suyo. Ahora, a esperar con expectación un nuevo directo tan mágico como acostumbran.
It's obvious that mr.Edwards and his guys have evolved since “Consider the birds”: tempoes are now, in general, faster and the music more energetic, but Wovenhand's sound keeps its soul intact throughout the years, and that makes them unmistakable artists. “The laughing stalk” looks more rock than folk, and maybe its soungs are more straight than some years ago, but these guys haven't lost a piece of mysticism and their “specially true particularities”; that allows them to bring us a great album that, without being the same than the previous ones, is clearly theirs. Now it's time to way for another new magic live performance, as it was their last one.
