No tengo los fundamentos para decidir si este disco es mejor o peor que el mítico “Jane Doe” ni entraré en esa discusión, pero sí que puedo decir que lo último de Converge me ha encantado y enganchado, no solo por su destreza técnica, sino por la variedad de registros que ofrece mientras conserva su identidad y porque los temas en este disco desprenden un magnetismo y una frescura de la que difícilmente escapará cualquier amante del género.Ya la combinación de apertura, con la quebrada “Aimless Arrow” y la trepidante “Trespass” ofrece una excelente muestra de lo que van a dar de sí los otros quince temas; cortes apabullantes que, amén de su duración, no se hacen monótonos ni por un segundo. Un señor discazo.
I haven't the knowledge to decide if this album is better or worse than the mythical “Jane Doe” and i will not discuss about it, but i can say that i've loved it and it has hooked me, not only because its technical quality, but for the variety of registers it brings while keeping intact its identity and because the tracks emanate a magnetism and a freshness difficult to avoid for any genre's lover. Yet the opening, with the broken “Aimless Arrow” and the exciting “Trespass” is an excellent sample of what is about to come; overwhelming tracks that, aside their length, don't become monotonous at any time. A great work.
