Full of reason have i found some reviews naming “Black Heart Bleeds Black” as the best spanish metal album of 2012. Adrift are, in this second album, an unsympathetic steamroller, but also a refuge for the mind, with a lot of details in their music and a powerful sound. The beginning of the record is a roller, dense, absorbing and also progressive, culminating with “Wolves searching dams” . Three songs that keep you hooked as if your mind had been caught in a trap. “Waves” and, above all, “Erich Zann Environment” are the linking tracks which bring the necessary equilibrium in a second half running in more relaxed tempoes and alternations between walls of sounds and oasis of notes. Adrift are more than a relaity and a brilliant future is ahead of them. |
