Some years ago i walked away from the most orthodox (and also from most of the heterodox) forms of extreme metal, but, from time to time, i'm curious about what's going on around there; and sometimes, this curiosity paids off. hris Barnes founded Six Feet Under with the idea of doing something different from what he did with Cannibal Corpse and, by listening to this album, i think he has, by far, reached his goal and even won a prize. “Unborn” gathers nearly forty minutes of mostly mid-tempo, crushing, dark, gloomy and diverse death metal in the shape of catchy songs plenty of vocals and based on repetitive structures on most of the songs. In any case, this is an excellent record within its genre, a reference of what is really well done. |
